The year of 2010 has been an amazing year for North Valley Baptist Church with many exciting events, including a record breaking day of attendance on September 12. God has blessed NVBC greatly! One of the reasons for a successful year has been our monthly Super Saturdays of Soul Winning. North Valley has church-wide soul winning (telling others of Christ and inviting them to church) every week, but once a month we really push it hard. We encourage every member to come on these super Saturdays and have a part in inviting the community to church. During every Super Saturday of Soul Winning, we strive to pass out 10,000 invitations!
It is very inexpensive. We pay only $220 (before shipping and tax) to print 10,000 invitations! We design our files to be a standard postcard size (4″x6″) to make the printing extremely cost effective. And then, we send our invitations to be printed at www.gotprint.com. They do a fantastic job at an incredible price. So, cost should not be an issue. If you have a smaller church, 5,000 invitations would cost around $110 and 1,000 invitations would cost only $30!! (at the time of this blog post – before shipping and tax)
We find people often don’t go soul winning because they are unsure what to say when passing out invitations. So, we choose a theme or special day every month to make it as easy as possible for our members to invite others. For instance, “I would like to invite you to my church tomorrow. We are having Open House Sunday. I hope you’ll come visit!” It so easy; anyone can do it! Below are a some examples of the theme and special day invitations we’ve used in the past. You can download the source files and edit them to use at your church free of charge. I would love to hear in the comments below if you plan on doing this. Think of the additional visitors you could have in church for the year of 2011 if you began a monthly Super Saturday of Soul Winning. May 2011 be the best year for NVBC and your church as well!
Each Invitation contains editable, layered Photoshop files and an InDesign file. You are free to use these for your church, but you may not resale these invitations or files. I would love to know if you use any of these for your church.

I absolutely love the ideas in these cards. I downloaded almost ALL of them!
Thank you so much for sharing!
Jonathan, I’m glad you like the ideas. I trust they will be a help to your ministry!
Great work…like always! Your work has been a source of inspiration. Good to see you’re blogging again, I was wondering if you were gonna stop posting tips. Thanks!
Thanks Estevan, I hope to post more in 2011.
Thank you for the post. Gotprint has some good prices. I will have to try them out. Thanks also for the design inspiration. We always love the work you all do at North Valley.
I enjoy working on little graphics projects here and there, but I’m not good at it. My idea of design is to copy everyone else’s cool ideas. Well, with this post I don’t even have to copy… I can just steal!
Thanks so much! I’m going to subscribe to everything you post from now on!

By the way, with WordPress, what did you use to turn the images to downloads? Dropbox public link?
Ryan, Glad to be a help!
I’m glad you enjoy the blog. To answer your question, yes, I used Dropbox’s public link.
I’m having problems downloading these files. After the download is complete I try to open the compressed folder but I then get an error message that says the file is invalid. Am I doing something wrong?
TJ, I downloaded the files and they worked for me. Make sure you unzip (or uncompress) the files first, then open the unzipped folder, you should be able to open the files from the unzipped folder. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
Brother Moyer,
I stumbled across your site tonight, and I had to say keep up the good work. A resource blog like this is a tremendous help to small churches.
Ethan,
I’m very glad to hear that the blog has been a help. Thanks for letting me know!
Wait… 1985 to 2010 is 35 years? Haha! Just happened to be revisiting some ideas for our 25th coming up soon and noticed it.
I’m still loving all the designs and plan to use many of them in the future! Thanks for the great work!
Ryan,
Good catch! Fortunately, I think that was changed before we went to press. It should have been 1975.
I’m glad to hear the designs have been helpful.
Hey Brother Moyer,
This is an awesome site you have here and quite helpful. I was wondering, what program do I need to access the files? Adobe, Photoshop, publisher? So I can make changes to the files, you know add Calvary First, Baptist Church and so forth? Also, I have a macbook, will that make a difference?
Thanks for your help Brother Moyer. Tell everyone that I said hello.

Bro. Hite,
It’s good to hear from you again. You will want to have Adobe Photoshop to edit these postcards. If you have Adobe InDesign, that will help you as well. A MacBook will work just fine with these. I hope all is going well in Mississippi!
These have been such a huge help! Are you going to put anymore up for download?
Hey Bro. Moyer,
I was wondering if you have the postcard file of “Every home need’s a Sunday School”?
Pastor Grosse,
I hope to add more in the future. Let me know if anything else would be a help.
Ray, Sorry I don’t remember what postcard you are referring to. If you could email me and refresh my memory, that would be great.
